Edited by Council member Paul Barnwell, the final volume in this series has just been published. The first comparative study of contemporary religious buildings, it includes new and re-ordered Anglican and Catholic churches, nonconformist buildings in England and Wales, and the places of worship of Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs. It addresses both architectural style and the ways in which the needs worshiping communities have shaped the buildings.
