Rob Andrews, expert in York’s extraordinarily rich heritage of medieval churches, has kindly agreed to lead another tour this year that will visit (in this order):
Holy Trinity, Goodramgate; All Saints, Pavement; St Mary Bishophill Jnr and the former churchyard of St Mary Bishophill Snr.
The tour will last about three hours and will include ample time for breaks and lunch (not included in the ticket price).
Rob will guide us through each site’s history and key features of interest, paying special attention to their place in the medieval city, their architectural history and evolution as unique liturgical spaces to the present day.
The walk will start outside King’s Manor, Exhibition Square, York YO1 7EP.
Individual donations to the churches (not included in the ticket price) would be welcome.
Places are limited to 20 so booking is essential.
Any queries about the tour, please email Rob Andrews on robpandrews91@gmail.com
Price: £15 – please book through Eventbrite here
