The Friends of St James the Less has been established to help with the work of restoring G E Street’s magnificent church in Pimlico. Built in 1859-61 it is rich in polychrome brickwork inside and out and ironwork and has a painted nave ceiling by Clayton and Bell – all much in need of cleaning. Details are in the latest edition of Church Crawler (Autumn 2017; free to members) and further information can be found at http://www.sjtl.org/friends/ .
