The Ecclesiological Society

For those who love churches

Join us

Anyone can join the Society. Members’ interests range over all periods and places, from the earliest churches in Britain through to the most recent developments in ecclesiastical architecture, fittings and liturgy across the world.

What are the benefits of joining?

Members are invited to all the Society’s events, lectures, visits, guided tours. There is a list of events which also includes similar activities organised by other societies, in case they interest you.

All members receive a journal, Ecclesiology Today. This is typically issued twice a year. Typically it is 100 pages, with a range of articles and book reviews. In addition the magazine style Church Crawler is produced to update members on news, views and church days out. For details of recent issues, see publications (link)

Members receive free copies of the Society’s occasional standalone publications, issued intermittently.

Above all, you will have the pleasure of belonging to a Society of like-minded people – people who love churches!

How much does it cost?

In the UK, the cost is £17.50 per year (£14 for retired), payable by banker’s order.
Additional members at same address (shared mailings) £3.50

UK Life Membership £300

Outside the UK the cost is £30 per year. This must be paid in sterling.

We are a registered charity – charity number 210501; and for those who enjoy this sort of thing, here is a copy of our laws.
